Reading & Radio Resource

Program: NTRB - Radio Reading Service

Program Description:
Serves children and adults who are visually or physically disabled and/or learning differenced. Those who are certified by either a physician or social worker to be print impaired may order a special-ordered radio unit on which they may listen to programming 18/hrs. per day; 7 days/week, 365 days/year. Local and national newsletters and periodicals are read as well as serialized books and various other programming which includes exercising, cooking, travel, interviews of local people and agencies of interest, New York Times book review etc..

Eligibility:
Children and adults who are certified to be visually or physically disabled and/or learning differenced.

Other important information:
Radio units are provided free of charge to the listener with the proviso that if the radio is no longer needed, it will be returned to the agency to be re-cycled.
