Workforce Investment Act

 

Workforce Investment Act provides short-term job training and placement for youth and adults. Each board listed below has independent administration, programming, eligibility processing and centers to serve adults and youth. Contact the TRAC Workforce Youth Specialist for help in finding out what programs can best serve your needs. Workforce Investment Act Centers can help youth with the following:

  • Assistance with job search

  • Drop in center with computers for job search

  • Classes in resume writing and job skills

  • Bus passes and gas vouchers

  • GED classes

  • Financial assistance with tuition for various educational programs
