Arlington Life Shelter

Program Description:
Provides short-term shelter and services that help the homeless integrate into society.

Eligibility:

  • Residents must commit to the hard work and possible life changes required by the program as they transition to self-sufficiency.

  • Persons who initially test positive may participate in the Shelters program by agreeing to participate in drug treatment.

  • Persons with no assault convictions in the past five years and have no crimes against children convictions--ever--are admitted. These background checks are to ensure the safety of other residents and volunteers.

  • Disorders must be controllable with medication and counseling.

  • Persons must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

  • The Arlington Life Shelter is open to anyone needing refuge on nights of extreme weather.
