Program Description:
The Adopt-A-Family program is a 24-month comprehensive transitional housing program that assist homeless families by providing the resources needed to become self-sufficient while preserving the family, maintaining self-respect and instilling hope. The 130 Houses and Townhouses are located throughout the county, including Fort Worth, Arlington, and the Mid-Cities area.The Residences of Diamond Hill, an innovatively financed project built in partnership with a for-profit developer, is located on the north side of Fort Worth. In 2004, it added 50 townhomes into the CEC's inventory while providing another 154 units to be rented to the general public by our partner. Many of those units are designated as affordable housing.
Eligibility: Homeless families in Tarrant County with at least one child under the age of sixteen who are striving for self-sufficiency.
