Dallas-Fort Worth Youth/Alumni RETREAT
Youth,
Alumni, and service providers from Dallas-Fort worth are interested in starting
a youth/alumni driven group for young people in and from the foster care system.
If you are interested in making changes to the foster care system,
hanging out with other youth and alumni from care or just want to come check out
what a youth/alumni group could look like come check out this retreat!
It has never been done in Dallas Fort worth before…you could be a
founder to this group and make history.
Here’s
how you qualify to be a member and attend this retreat;

If
you are 14 or older
·
and
are or have ever lived in foster care
During
the retreat members will create a group name, define membership, design a logo,
develop a mission statement, a bunch more work, hang out with peers, and have
fun. Plus, it’s at a beautiful
location for an entire weekend. The
retreat costs are paid and you will need to bring the following;

| When: | September 19-21, 2003 (2 night stay) |
| Where: | The River Bend Retreat Center in Glen Rose, Texas (1.5 hours SW from Dallas) |
| Who: | Young adults age 14 and up that are/have been in out of home care |
| How: | Rides will be leaving from TRAC (3108 Live Oak, Dallas TX 75204) at 5:00pm on Friday, September 19 and will return to TRAC at 3:30 on Sunday, September 21 |
| Oh ya: | Did I mention that it’s not only FREE, but you will be paid (just a little bit) for coming!!! |

1, 2003. We have limited space so get it in before the spaces fill up!
